Where to plant
Give it a warm, sheltered, sunny or partially shaded position.
A south- or west-facing wall can provide useful additional warmth in cooler climates.
Provide a trellis, wires or another climbing support.
Care
Water regularly while establishing.
Once mature, Star Jasmine is more drought tolerant but benefits from wateringduring prolonged dry spells.
Feed in spring.
Protect young plants from severe frost.

Prune after flowering, generally in summer.

Tie new stems into their support as they grow.
Remove dead or damaged growth.
Shorten excessively long shoots to keep the plant within its allotted space.
If the plant has become congested, remove some older stems completely ratherthan continually trimming the outer surface.
